I was one of many that was fortunate to closely smell the Marylou Whitney rose at the recent Yaddo Garden Club party. John Hendrickson, Marylou's husband, gave her that special gift for her 2010 Christmas Eve birthday. It isn't just an ordinary rose but a pink, one-of-a-kind rose that is now planted in the beautiful rose garden at Yaddo for everyone's pleasure for years to come.
Some roses have a nice scent. Others not as strong. But this rose is not only gorgeous, but has a fantastic fragance.
The bottom line is people, mostly women, suggested to John to produce a Marylou Whitney line of scents. It certainly makes sense to me.
There isn't a woman out there that doesn't love a sensual smell in their soaps, lotions, creams or body washes. So go for John. How about surprising her on her 2011 Christmas Eve birthday with her own Marylou Whitney fragrance line. I for one would line up to buy them.
