Finding a dress in my size and style isn't easy!

I'm mad. If I want to spend a couple of hundred bucks, I might be able to find a dress. I refuse. Everywhere I go there are no luncheon-style dresses in my size, which, by the way, is not a size 6.
And to make matters worse everything is knee-length and sleeveless. I know it is the younger women who do the buying, but I am sure there are women in my age group that would like to look trendy.
I have legs like a fullback and arms that blow in the wind. So, you can understand why I get frustrated with the latest look. I do own lots of pants and tops. I do own skirts, which are actually out of style, but do cover all my wrongs.
Occasionlly I find a good buy in Chico's, but still it seems dresses are made for women 20 to 50. Or maybe I just need a stylist.
Another gripe I have is going from one store to another. Let's face it. At my age, my feet hurt and my entire body gets tired early on.
The next best thing is online shopping, which I do once in awhile. But I like to try on something before I buy.
I am now cleaning out my closet and I know I will find many appropriate items even if they are out-of-date. I can always accent with a nice necklace or scarf. And, besides who cares if I don't look that great, but think I do. I look at everyone else anyway.
So, the next time you see me at a luncheon or fundraiser remember I'm older, but maybe not wiser, and besides it's you I admire.
