Happy Mother's Day to all the moms
This year Mom's Day falls on May 8. If every mom is like me, they'll remember every detail of the birth of each of their children. I guess that's not so unusual, but it is for someone like me who doesn't remember what they ate for dinner last night.
I try to explain to my husband that important things I always remember, but who last emptied the trash is not that important.
He says he worries sometimes when I don't instantly recall something. He's two years older than me and has a mind of a 25-year-old. He almost scares me sometimes. He's my right arm when we go to some of the fancy soirees in the summertime. I'll ask him what the name of the person was that we just met. Faces are easy for me to recall, names not so much. Maybe it's time to retire, but I really don't want to.
In the meantime, I'll recall all my children's births on Mother's Day and leave the rest of my recalls up to my husband.
And this I won't forget. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms.
